Route Descriptions

South America can be confusing on a bicycle.  The lack of road signs, inaccurate (or just plain wrong) maps, and sometimes long distances between towns can make cycling difficult and frustrating.

We find some of our most accurate information comes from other cyclists’ blogs.  So in this section we detail some of the more difficult or remote stretches that we’ve encountered on our journey to make it a little easier for those who follow in our tracks.

So for every cyclist who’s been told “Todo es plano mas adelante, no hay problema.  Solamente va a tomarte una hora por bicicleta.” only to find out that there’s a couple hours climbing to a pass ahead, this section’s for you.
